2 new and 1 re-printed, prints up on the Etsy shop! Misfit Raphael, Slime pit He-man, and Bebop! Check it out won’t you?
I leave for San Diego Comic-con tomorrow, I have very mixed feelings. On the one hand I LOVE Comic-con, and the last 2 years I went were awesomely fun. On the other hand, some friends that live in that area, who I was expecting to see will not be there this year. Add to that …
Well Big Wow has come and gone, and it was better than last year for the most part! Met some cool folks had some laughs and sold some stuff. Some sketches from the day: (Click Image for Slideshow)
I made an image of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle, Raphael as one of the Misfits, for the wall of Illusive comics and Games, a CA Bay area comic shop. I decided to make it into a print. Inked with Japanese brush pen on Bristol, greys and color added in Photoshop.
Been in a TMNT drawing mood, this is a rough version of an April re-design I am working on. Photoshop over pencils.
BEBOP from the old early 90’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon. done for my buddy Nick [link] Japanese brush pen on bristol, scanned and colored in Photoshop. used a texture in the BG, and on his pants, shoulder pads and vest. Second time ever trying texture, last time was over a year ago….baby steps lol.
Hey, I will be at Illusive comics and Games all day today; http://www.facebook.com/pages/Santa-Clara-CA/Illusive-Comics-Games/78234173699 or http://illusivecomics.webs.com/ What will I do all day though…? There will be a displaying and/or selling of prints from my work. I will also have some original art there for sale. I will also be working on a new piece for the ever expanding wall art …
Blue line pencil sketch, inked with japanese brush pen, and scanned in black and white to remove blue…. Raphael!
It is KRANG from the Turtles! A brush pen grey scale Krang, and a version with photo shop colors thrown on, along with a pencil sketch from my sketch book done while at comic con. No ref.
I did have time to do one more Ninja Turtles before comic con as it turns out, I actually did the roughs for this on my Cintiq, and printed them out to do the tight pencils on my light box. This page comes sequentially after the one I had up earlier.
